Petr Jašek – The Refiner’s Fire

As someone who experienced persecution himself, Petr Jašek shares the biblical foundations of persecution. Serving the persecuted church in many countries, he met bothers and sisters who have not only lost material things, and family members, but even parts of their own bodies. From their experience and his own, he testifies how the Lord uses persecution in the lives of Christians.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:10 that those who are persecuted, are blessed. He encouraged His followers to testify boldly of His love and grace when brought before authorities for His Name’s sake. He even warned them that they will be killed because of their love for Him. Then we see his words being fulfilled in Acts 4 when the apostles were beaten because of their bold witness. Also Paul had many times been beaten, stoned and eventually been killed because of his commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. According to the Word persecution is an essential part of the Christian’s life.
