About Kerugma Productions
How We Got Started
The word kerugma is Greek for the message which is preached or proclaimed.
Kerugma Productions is a faith based organisation. It was founded in 1995 when Naas and Marina le Roux, who were in full time pastoral ministry, felt that the Lord called them to spread the Word of God by means of high quality media productions.
Subsequently they resigned from their congregation in faith that the Lord would provide for them and their three school age children. They started Kerugma without any financial backing or income. Their testimony is that the Lord leads and provides for them through donations from individuals. Many of these are people who have seen their DVDs and believe that the Lord has laid it on their hearts to support this ministry financially.
A number of years ago a meeting with the American archaeologist and Bible professor, Dr Randall Smith, led to the production of the DVD series Exploring The Lands Of The Bible. Filmed live on tour in the countries of the Bible, this series brings to life the background of the Biblical narratives in a very special way. Some of the DVDs in this series have been screened on SABC 2, reaching millions who would otherwise not have heard the message of the Gospel.
While most people won’t be able to go on these tours themselves, the DVD series affords them the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of the Bible. With more filming to be done and the subsequent editing in the Kerugma studios in South Africa, Naas and Marina continue with their work on the Exploring series.

A Testimony by Naas le Roux (From the Kerugma Bulletin of February 2014)
This is the message we have heard from Him and announced to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5).
The angels … are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? (Heb. 1:13-14).
